Support mentally-ill street patients
POB supported Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation at Karjat. This place is a home for wandering, roadside, mentally ill patients. They are picked up and well taken care of along with proper consultation, regular medication, food and nutrition, stay and most important love and affection. Gradually these patients after complete recovery are reunited with their families.
We visited this centre, met the patients and staff to understand the complete process from rescue till reunion. From POB we installed a solar panel for water heating. Many thanks to our kind donors that we could also donate 120 bedsheets.
The team has thanked us from the bottom of their hearts.
Support Ashram Shala School at Pinglas, Karjat
Literacy is the key to development of the nation. On the occasion of International Literacy Day, we supported the Ashram Shala School at Pinglas, Karjat to set up their science laboratory. This school is an academic hub in this area and has more than 800 Adivasi students.
The school was overjoyed to receive us today. They organized an appreciation and Thanksgiving program which started with Deep prajvalan and a wonderful Povada sung by our own member. We were then traditionally welcomed with tilak and lamp.
A function was arranged where the students sang a welcome song and thanked us from the bottom of their heart. The teachers expressed gratitude and we as a team were totally overwhelmed.
We promised to reach out to them in their time of need and with a heavy heart returned with lovely memories.
The teachers and principal were more than happy to be so well equipped to guide the students in a much better way now.
Activity for August: Plantation drive at Belpada, Masale near Murbad🌱
What an awesome activity this was!!! Contribution to ecological restoration work by supporting the project- Van Mahotsav of Ashwamedh Pratisthan. The aim is to improve the biodiversity of trees, palms, shrubs, herbs, climbers, grasses and other fauna and thus improve the climate security of the present and the future generations.
This plantation drive was at ALHS (Ashwamedh Learning and Heritage Sanctuary) in Belpada village, Murbad taluka, Dist. Thane. After a light breakfast we started our walk in the 'Learning Forest' and planted diverse species of plants like chandwad, arjun, canon ball, varun, muchkund, surangi, nagchampa, bixa, jackfruit, mulberries, and a few more. Even the Rain God's descended to witness our activity. This month was the perfect time for this activity.
We also visited the rescued animal centre where different species like parakeet, turtles, blind cobra, injured kites, injured monkeys are treated. A wonderful lunch of pitale bhakri and varan bhat was lovingly served by Mr. Avinash, the honorary wildlife warden here. We left with satisfied smiles and vowed to return the next year with more members.

Activity for July- Palliative care and School book distribution
Palliative care is a specialized medical care that aims to provide comfort and improve quality of life of patients who have a serious or life-threatening disease. It is provided by a team of health care providers, including doctors, nurses, social workers and other trained specialists.
This month we at PoB, supported such patients. In association with Sneha Palliative Care Group, we distributed grocery kits to the needy patients.
This month we also supported Ashakiran which is a remedial study centre- teaching children from under- privileged communities since 2014.
Around 100 children come to the first floor hall of Nerul police station for studies. And there are around 20 volunteer teachers associated to guide the kids on a day to day basis. PoB provided textbooks and notebooks for these children.
Activity for June 2023 Support to National Burns Center
What a wonderful project this was! Such a huge centre it is, the largest in Asia and dedicated to Burns.
We supported the treatment, medication, pressure garments for underprivileged patients by way of donation.
We had 2 audio visual presentations on Process of Skin Donation and Fire Safety and Precaution. NBC does this programs for 100s of schools.
The information shared was so useful and important that every school must run this program for their 5 to 8th graders. Do connect with them for such a program at your kid's school.
The helpline for skin donation is 022 27793333.
Skin and eyes are the only organs that can be donated in case of natural death. There is no better dressing for a burn patient than a skin which is preserved here.
Do pledge to donate your skin and eyes 🙏🙏
Let's all together make this World a better place.
Activity for May 2023: Food distribution
This summer, the heat wave has badly affected several parts of our country including Mumbai. Understanding the severe weather conditions, this month, we at Path of Bliss distributed fruits, meals and chaas at various locations (Tata Cancer Hospital, slums and railway stations of Diva, Vashi and Sanpada).
Approximately a thousand people have been benefited by this activity. Many have showered their blessings on us for this kind and thoughtful cause. Thank you team 🫱🏾🫲🏾
Activity for April 2023: Water conservation project for Tartewadi, Sirasmarga, Beed.
Sirasmarga has a river Sindaphana which dries up by March and the entire village with population of around 4000 to 5000 has to depend on tanker water for their livelihood.
We joined hands with Sahyadri Samaj Jal Jagran Abhiyan to help the digging and broadening of the river bed for this village.
This is a labour intensive project.
Women empowerment at Kakaddara
One year back, we provided the basic tailoring training along with sewing machines, fabric, and many more accessories to the women here. Now they are stitching various items like bags, masks, tea coasters, table mats and various women and kids wears.
We sent them around 50 kg of fabrics like bedsheets, sarees, curtains, dupatta etc.
We are supporting this village with Seed to Fabric Project, specifically the part of weaving and purchase of Charkhas. This project needs lot of other add-ons like cotton purchase, weaving cost, spinning cost, training cost, yarn which we will periodically try and support.
In an extremely tragic event in the village there was an incident of a suicide of a young 25 year old just 2 days back and the entire village was in midst of a tension.
We decided to postpone the saree donation to a future date.
The training of spinning had already started in the village. We started our discussion with the villagers on a positive note from a spiritualist. They could relate to the positive talk and it was very helpful to get away from the grief they were undergoing.
We visited the aggrieved family and assured them of any help they would require in future.
There was sadness in the air but we were able to instill some positivity and proceed. 🙏

Path of Bliss supported All Saints Home, an old age home which is a sanguine shelter for 30 inmates who presently reside here. We gave them grocery and goody bags thoughtfully filled with several commodities and they were thrilled with the contents. We had an "Aapki Farmaish" event in which they requested for their favourite Bollywood numbers and our PoB members sang it for them. We had an interactive fun and magic show by the former Indian Navy Lieutenant Commander- Pravin Tulpule. And finally we treated them with lip-smacking biryani and raita and tilgul.
All the members and the inmates had a hearty laugh and just enjoyed the event.
