Activity for December 2022- Run Santa Run at Chembur

A fun filled event for Bosco Boys home and Maranatha Orphanage girls was  organised at this Running Event. 

This was a 2 km run with a Carnival, Free games, Free Rides, Fitness and Fun Activities and the kids had a Blast....

This helped promoting a healthy & active lifestyle with a twist of fun. The child's medal was a delight for them. Special gifts from the organizers on the stage was special for the Maranatha girls. It helped spread Happiness and Cheer on a cold December Sunday!

Activity for November 2022- Children's day celebration at Maranatha Orphanage, Tilak Nagar

14th November is celebrated as Children's Day in India. This day, Path of Bliss team visited Maranatha Harvest Mission Orphanage at Tilak Nagar. It is a home for 20 girls aged between 8 to 18 years. The 5 basic necessities- food, clothing, shelter, education and medical aid of all the girls are managed here. 

This month at PoB, we supported this home by donating groceries, daily consumable items, clothes, and yummy meal with delicious sheera. It was indeed a nice way to celebrate this special day with these special girls.

Path of Bliss Activity for October, 2022: Freedom Farm, Thane 

Some say that animals can't speak but participants at today's activity know otherwise.

This month, we at PoB joined hands with Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) to help our furry friends at Freedom Farm, Thane. The four-legged residents of the shelter were more than overjoyed to meet PoB members, greeting us with warm hugs, licks and happy barks. Currently housing 58 animals, Freedom Farm is a caring abode to animals including dogs, cats and donkeys that have been rescued and are being treated. 

Seeing the marks of cruelty that humanity has left on a few animals was truly disheartening. The donkeys had been overworked and abandoned, dogs had been abused and left on roads. These sights provoke us to think what we as humans have become as a species. 

But there is always hope! Seeing the animals being treated by dedicated volunteers as they recover in this safe space was indeed heartwarming. Yug, the young donkey, was more than eager to seek everyone's attention. The dogs: Chikki, Sugar, Dobby, Don and many more, were jumping with joy and excitement as our members spent some quality time with them.

We donated cat, kitten and puppy food (wet and dry) and also 10 dog cages from PoB. The activity was a hearty success and the unbounded happiness of the members as well as the animals was an absolutely worthy sight!

Activity for September:   Support to Solapur Children's Home and Medical Camp for inmates at Matoshree Vruddhashram, Pandharpur

Shishusadan Children's Home is being set up in Geeta nagar- Solapur. This month we at PoB, supported the basic requirements of construction of this home. Essentials like plumbing, construction material, electrical equipments, pipes and fittings were donated. 

This month we also conducted a health camp at Matoshree Vruddhashram in Pandharpur. This place was beaming with activity today. The inmates were eagerly waiting for the medicines and doctors. They wanted to share their medical problems and get treated. More than the treatment, the fun of get together, meeting people, chatting and laughing and crying with them was a part of the program. We were fortunate to have Nagar Adhyaksha Mrs. Vasanti Badave and Sar Chitnis Mrs. Aparna Tarke to inaugurate the medical camp. They have decided to help the Vruddhashram every month with their grocery needs and Solapur Children's Home too. Dr. Mahesh Gurav and Dr. Dnyanesh Survase, both Community Health Officers at Pandharpur helped tirelessly to check all the inmates and give them relevant medicines.

Activity for August: Musical evening with Senior citizens at Bhayander 

A lovely musical evening was organised for senior citizens who otherwise spend lonely evenings. Path of Bliss members entertained the gathering with an array of melodious songs, bhajan, jokes, garba, and much much more. The seniors enjoyed the show along with some yummy hot snacks. 

We also distributed goody bags to the seniors so that they go back with some small gifts specially when their own children are not looking after them. 

We donated grocery needs to Shravan tiffin center who provides daily meal to these seniors.

PoB activity for July 2022: Bosco Boys Home Borivali

Bosco Boys Home empowers holistic development of the young at risk, who are poor, homeless and runaways.

This month at PoB, we provided groceries like rice, dal, sugar, oil, stationery, buckets. We arranged a small session by eminent yoga sadhana Acharya on the topic "Yoga, Meditation and Concentration of mind" for the children. He stated that true meaning of yoga is union of jeevatma (unit mind) with parmatma (cosmic mind). This is possible by expansion of mind and involves various practices like yogasanas and meditation. Yogasanas help to control the mind which controls the body. He asked the children to grow up to help others and serve underprivileged of the society. Few asanas were also demonstrated to them by Master Kartavya. 

Father Corlis and his staff expressed gratitude for this noble gesture and will be praying for all of us 🙏🏾

Activity for June 2022: Community Teaching Group, Thane  The new academic session has started and  Community Teaching Group which has approximately 700 students and 50 teachers offer free coaching facility to the underprivileged class. Apart from academics, they also work towards the all-round development of these students. These students (from standard 6th to 1st year B.Com) are taught in 8 different centres.  This month, we at PoB supported this community centre by donating a few sets of textbooks and 100 school bags. All kids and teachers were given samosas. The kids and teachers were very happy and have thanked us for this kind gesture.

Activity for May 2022: Balgram, Sahara Anathalay Parivar, Beed.  In an almost barren land, this 3-acre plot is a home for 123 children in the age group of 3-18 years. This Anathalaya is managed by Aai Foundation.  The school will be reopening soon and 110 students are in need of school bags, shoes, uniforms, notebooks, and stationery. We, at Path of Bliss, supported Aai Foundation with school bags, grocery, notebooks, compass boxes, nutrition bars, biscuits, fruit drink. We also supported the assistant staff with surprise gifts. The kids and the managing staff have thanked PoB members for this noble and generous donation. They have invited all of us....  Thank you PoB family for making this possible 🙏🏾

Activity for April 2022: Accesslife Chembur Centre  Accesslife provides accommodation, food and travel to the poor families of kids suffering from cancer and undergoing long treatments. We at Path of Bliss, supported Accesslife with their requirement of trolleys. Each child was gifted with several surprises. PoB members arranged a lovely and lively magic show by Charlie Chaplin Manoj. This was followed by music event by Karan and Shlok for the kids.   Kids for the evening forgot all their worries and laughed merrily with the magician and sang and danced with the music. It was a pleasant sight to see the smiles. ☺️ Thanks all for making it for them. 🫱🏾‍🫲🏾
