PoB activity for March 2022- Women empowerment at Village Kakaddara Kakaddara, a small adivasi village with approximately 95 families is thriving to be self-sufficient. With strong leadership guidance from a humble couple (Swapnaja and Amit Dalvi), combined with a team of highly motivated ladies brigade, this village is on its way to progress.. This couple has left their engineering careers and well paid high profile jobs, kids' schooling, and all luxuries in London and have dedicated themselves for developing Kakaddara. This month, we at Path of Bliss, have helped set up the tailoring unit here. We have given 4 sewing machines, stools, cooler, cupboard, all necessary accessories like needles, threads, bobbins, scissors, and a lot of fabric for tailoring practice. This will enable economic empowerment of the womenfolk and will create their dignified space and strengthen the women in this village. Thank you PoB family 🙏🏾

With the tailoring unit well in place and the tribal kitchen picking up the pace, these women have started loving their independence. To support the tribal kitchen we had a taste of the wonderful breakfast of upma, idli, sabudana khichdi and tea along with sumptuous lunch at noon of ragi roti, veggies, chutney, thecha, moringa dal, kokam sherbet. It was an awesome activity. Thank you PoB family for all your support and trust 🤝🏾

PoB activity for October 2021: Bosco Boys Home and Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali
Bosco Boys Home empowers holistic development of the young at risk, who are poor, homeless and runaways. They provide comfortable living conditions, food, clothing, health and hygiene. They also offer non-formal courses like motor mechanics, A/C refrigeration, electrician, plumbing, computers, driving, English language, and some hospitality courses. This gives the children an opportunity to improve their life and become responsible citizens. Today it is a home for 65 boys.
We provided them groceries like rice, dal, sugar, oil and tea. Father Corlis and Father Francis have thanked Path of Bliss members for our thoughtful and generous support to the Boys Home. Sister Eula mentioned that the Boys Home will always remember our generosity. They will offer prayers for our noble intentions.
We also supported the tribal women of SGNP last year to sustain their livelihood through their tribal kitchen and tailoring projects. As Diwali is approaching, they required raw material for their tailoring project and we donated 500 meters of cloth to them.
PoB activity for September 2021: Accesslife Foundation, Pune
Families come from villages surrounding Pune seeking treatment for their children afflicted with cancer. Their treatment is done at 3 hospitals, Sasoon hospital, Dinanath and Bhartiya Vidyapeeth.
These families have meagre sources of income and are already burdened with the extensive treatment regime. Furthermore, expenditures on their food and accommodation makes it much more difficult for them. Accesslife Foundation provides such families with clean, safe, comfortable and cost-free accommodation, literally giving them a home away from home. We have supported them at various centres in Mumbai (Chembur, Thane, Bandra). Recently they have started their Pune centre in a lovely apartment at Kalyani nagar with a capacity of 10 kids.
Path of Bliss supported this new centre just 2 months old with a washing machine and goody bags filled with almonds, cashews, pista, chana, chaas, Paper Boat chikki and lassi. The kids were overjoyed to get their goody bags and gifted us with their hand made flowers as a token of their love. It was indeed heartwarming to see this humble expression of gratitude from their side...
POB Independence Day Activity 🇮🇳
A very happy Independence Day to everyone. On the occasion of India's 75th Independence Day, we at Path of Bliss were glad to celebrate and bask in the patriotic fervour with the parents and teachers of Adarsh Nagar MPS English School. Sanitizers and masks were distributed to parents of all the students. We are extremely grateful to our member- Kashmira Ji for her support in this activity.
A massive flood shook the Konkan region on 22nd July, 2021. Though it receded fast the devastating effects it left in the region were beyond imagination. It was a lesson to mankind that the divine and benevolent Mother Nature can be extremely furious, unleashing her disastrous wrath. Konkan experienced the worst curse of Nature this monsoon.
Immediate help operations rushed from Mumbai with tons of food grains and clothes. Like always, we at Path of Bliss had an intense ground survey done, spoke to local resident (Chandrakant Khopatkar) in Chiplun and with their advise we could reach the right people at the right time with the right necessities. We took detergent, bleach, disinfectant, buckets, mugs, soaps, oil, dettol, towels, dusters and medicines - some of the things that were most critical at this time.
The journey itself was exhausting and long with extremely bad roads but the need and seriousness of the calamity made us undertake this activity.
At a single Covid Center there were 10 critical patients on ventilator. Water suddenly rushed in causing power failure and instantly killing all the patients. Our relief began in a small local tempo at banks of the River Vashishthi where there was maximum damage. The families shared their story and were overjoyed with the items. They all have thanked us profusely and sent their blessings.
The medicines at the chemists' shops were spoilt and damaged, creating an urgent need for the most basic medicines. We handed over medical kits containing some general medicines to a few doctors. They thanked us and appreciated our thoughtfulness.
Such are the times when we need to come together the way we did and go out of our way to help the needy.
Thank you family. 🙏🏾
