The Path of Bliss members organized a cricket match for the students of Victoria Memorial School of Blind. This coincided with the day on which the foundation stone for the school was layed almost 105 years ago. We also distributed Braille paper, biscuits, milk drink, bat and ball to the school students.
February month marked the biggest event for Path of Bliss where our volunteers rendered their services which touched more than 800 villagers of Mhasala, Varud and Nalwadi near Wardha. These villagers were examined by more than 30 doctors from Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (MGACH and JNMC) and Dr. Aparna Sandu.
Gynecological examination also included a free mammogram and a pap smear test. A team of multi-disciplinary doctors (allopathy doctors with specializations of eye, surgery, pediatrics, GP, gynae, ophthalmic, Ayurveda doctors from Rasa shastra, Shayla, Samhita, Dravya guna, Kriya sharir, shalSkya, Balaroga, Stree rog, Rachana Sharir, Panchakarma and Homeopathy) screened the villagers. The camp also focussed on screening for Diabetes followed by counselling on nutrional and physical aspects of diabetes management including yogasanas.
Distribution of food packets, Solapur blankets and Chatais (plastic mats) to villagers in Wada. Volunteers also got old clothes, shoes and toys for distribution which were happily accepted by the villagers.
Distribution of food grains, protein powder (home-made), biscuits, soaps, protein bars at Chapewadi along with the medical checkup of the villagers and distribution of free medicines for those in need. Most of the villagers were anemic and were given iron supplements. Volunteers also distributed old clothes, shoes and toys to the villagers. The neighbouring village of Fanaswadi also benefitted from the camp.
Over 250 villagers took advantage of the free medical and Diabetes awareness and testing camp. The event included height weight measurement, diabetes risk score calculation, blood pressure measurement, blood glucose measurement for high risk patients, examination by physicians and distribution of free medications for all in need.
Conducted activities like Karaoke singing, dancing, music and games for the differently abled at Advitya Creative Centre, Santacruz. Also handed over Karaoke system of MEPL with large speaker and 2 mikes, plastic mats, yoga mats, big drawing pads, drawing sheets, hand towels and paint brushes.
Supported the cancer kids undergoing treatment at Tata cancer and having temporary shelter at Accesslife Assistance Foundation at Chembur east. Activities like origami, dance, musical chairs were organized. Dry fruits packets for the families presently staying were distributed along with capris, napkin and plastic container.
2 CNG filling cards for filling fuel for their daily treatment at Tata Cancer loaded with Rs.3000 each were given. Donated a washing machine and a cycle at their Thane unit and some games for the kids at the Chembur unit.
The children's aid society has a shelter for mentally challenged men and women aged 8-80. This month we are providing them with basic clothing.
Supported AM Jagruti School started at Lokmanya Samaj Mandir, Sector 6, Nerul (w). Slates, pencils, delightful snacks and clothes were distributed to the kids.
